During the last 30+ years, singer-songwriter-guitarist, Pete Vincelette has played in various Denver area bands, most notably, Twilight Motel. That four (sometimes five) piece band's high water mark was being picked to open for a variety of acts at the Bluebird, Ogden and Gothic theaters. Vincelette's personal favorite of those experiences was opening for Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes at the Bluebird. "I grew up listening to their music and when I was in high school I saw them live a couple times in my hometown of Pittsburgh. I still have several of their albums. Getting to meet Johnny Lyon was an absolute thrill. He was very gracious, funny and personable. Plus, he and the Jukes are still a great live band"

Vincelette wrote most of Twilight Motel's material and was it's front man for the duration of the band's existence. (The band formed in the late 90’s and dissolved in 2016.)

In the summer of 2018 Pete saw Ed Sheeran perform on the PBS show, Austin City Limits. "I've never seen someone perform solo on ACL before. It was amazing to see one person produce a full sounding concert all by himself. The next day I began looking into looping technology."

A few years of woodshedding, several rounds of gear acquisition/experimentation, and one global pandemic later, The Mudflap Cover Girls were ready to begin gigging. Says Vincelette, "Playing in this new situation is very challenging, I'm wearing several hats simultaneously. It can be nerve wracking, but it's exciting to get out there and explore this new path."
